The Safety Check feature gives event organizers and attendees a way to use the app to monitor the safety of individuals in the event of an incident.

Enabling Safety Check

To enable Safety Check, go to the Discover More section of the CMS and click on the corresponding button. This will add a section called "Safety Check" to your app layout.

Activating and Using Safety Check

Go to the Content tab and click on 'Safety Check'. Initially, you will notice that the feature is deactivated. If an emergency situation occurs at your event, click on 'Activate Safety Check'. A pop-up will appear; click 'Activate'.

Now with Safety Check activated, you should see a screen that looks like this:

Once a Safety Check has been activated, the first action you'll want to take is to send out communications to your attendees. With this feature, you can easily send out a Push Notification and/or post a Promoted Post to the Activity Feed. Customize your message in the corresponding boxes and then click 'Submit' to send out your message.

At the bottom of the screen, you'll see the status of your attendees during the Safety Check. Attendees that have yet to mark their status are listed as "Not Checked In". Attendees can also mark themselves as safe if they have reached a safe location, or "Not in Area" if they are not near the incident occurring.

You can deactivate the Safety Check at any time by clicking on 'Deactivate Safety Check'. Additionally, you can export the status of each individual as a CSV list by clicking on 'Export Lists to CSV'. This is useful for sharing the status of your attendees with authorities.

Using Safety Check in the App

To use Safety Check in the app, attendees will need to go to the Safety Check section in the navigation menu.

If there is no incident occurring and a Safety Check has not been activated the screen will show as blank but with instructions in the event that the feature becomes activated.
