Trivia Challenge gives your attendees a fun and engaging way to interact with the Event App. Event organizers can manage trivia questions from the CMS, allowing complete moderation of the feature. Make Trivia Challenge even more rewarding by offering prizes to attendees that perform the best!
Enabling Trivia Challenge
To enable Trivia Challenge, go to the Discover More section of the CMS and click on the corresponding feature button. Then click 'Set Up Now' and this will add a section called "Trivia" to your app layout.
Using Trivia Challenge in the CMS
Add a Question
To start, give the trivia "session" a name. Next, to add questions, click 'Add New Question'.
Type in the question and the corresponding answer options, then select the radio button under "Correct Answer" for whichever answer option is the correct one. Click 'Save Question'.
You can input the time allotment per question by going to the end of your question list and inputting the time in seconds.
Moving and Deleting Questions
To change the question order, click the six dots on the left of the question box and drag the question to the desired location.
To remove a question, click 'Delete Question'.
Configuring the Presentation Screen
With Trivia Challenge, you can display the trivia session on a monitor. The presentation screen includes the home screen, which shows the number of individuals that have joined the game, and the trivia questions.
You can change the background image of the home screen by typing in the URL of the image.
To launch the presentation screen to display on a monitor, click 'Launch in new tab'.
Beginning a Trivia Session
To start a trivia session, click on 'Initialize' under the "Up Next" box.
Wait for players to join the session, then click 'Start Question' to display the first question and all subsequent questions.
You can end a trivia session at any time by clicking 'Reset Trivia Session'.
Displaying the Leaderboard
As questions are being answered by attendees in the app, you can display the Leaderboard by clicking on 'Display Leaderboard'.
Note: the Leaderboard associated with Trivia Challenge is different than the Leaderboard associated with the Points system based on app actions.
Trivia Challenge in the App
To participate in a game, attendees will go to the Trivia section in the app and click 'Let's Play'. On the home screen, they will see the game lobby.
To answer questions as they appear, attendees will tap on an answer response.
If an attendee answers incorrectly, when time finishes, the results will show the correct answer in green and the attendee's selected wrong answer in orange.
When the session finishes, the final screen will show how the attendee placed amongst the competition, as well as the full leaderboard. Additionally, attendees can post their results to the Activity Feed by clicking on 'Post to Activity Feed'.
